| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we propose an estimation method for sparse channel without a pilot symbol in wireless communication based on MIMO-OFDM system. A method using pilot symbols known by the transmitter is a typical approach for the channel estimation. Although this approach achieves an accurate channel estimation, the frequency efficiency deteriorates due to the high proportion of pilot symbols in the sending data. The conventional channel estimation for sparse channel detects the non-zero taps in sparse channel and then obtain the values of the coefficients at the non-zero taps. The conventional method has a problem that its whole performance extremely depends on the accuracy of the former zero-tap detection. The proposed method therefore solves this problem by adding the algorithm adjusting the detected zero-tap positions to the latter of the conventional method. Finally, through the computational simulation, we verify that the proposed method improves the mean bit error rate in sparse channel environment. |
