Abstract(in English) | In satellite communications, the increase in rainfall attenuation followed by the use of high frequencies has become an issue. As a countermeasure for this problem, there is an adaptive control method for coding rate using AMeDAS data. This method enables highly efficient satellite communications while minimizing the effect of rainfall attenuation. However, this method does not perform adaptive control of the modulation. Adaptive control of the modulation has the same effect as adaptive control of the coding rate. Therefore, adaptive-modulation-coding (ACM), which is a combination of these two methods, enables more efficient satellite communications. In this paper, we propose a rainfall attenuation countermeasure for satellite communication by ACM according to AMeDAS data. Finally, computer simulation experiments show that the proposed method is more efficient than conventional methods for satellite communications. |
