Abstract(in English) | Underwater acoustic localization is used to know underwater positions in remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). An ultra-short base-line (USBL) method measures a propagation time of sound wave from a transmitter to a receiver, where distance estimation and direction of arrival (DOA) estimation are performed. In this study, we investigate a method for simultaneous multipoint measurement using multiple sound source signals by time division and code division multiplexing, and report the test evaluation. In a highly reflective sound wave environment, time division and code division multiplexing shows higher positioning accuracy than conventional code division multiplexing. |
