Various Transformation Functions for the Stability Guarantee of Variable Digital Filters with Recursive Structures

Abstract(in English) A variable digital filter has the flexibility being able to rapidly vary its frequency-domain responses during signal processing applications. However, varying the frequency-domain responses necessitates changing its filter coefficients, and such filter-coefficient variations may cause the instability of the variable digital filter with recursive structures. To tackle this instability problem, the author has proposed a stability-guarantee method based on parameter transformations. This paper aims to present various transformation functions that are needed in performing the parameter transformations. Those transformation functions play the central role in the parameter-transformation-based stability guarantee of variable digital filters with recursive structures.
