Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The physics inside and outside of electric circuits are described by electromagnetics, and various theories have been constructed according to the physical quantity and frequency we focus. In the circuit theory and transmission line theory, we use voltage and current as variables, and in the antenna theory, we use electromagnetic fields as variables. Since electromagnetic noise arises from physical phenomena that we do not take into account, mixed theoretical calculation methods are required to elucidate its mechanism. The most comprehensive method for describing the electromagnetic phenomena of an electric circuit is electromagnetic field simulation. However, the phenomena in a circuit are based on voltage and current, so we need the experience to link the voltage and current to the rotation and divergence of vector quantities, and electric and magnetic fields. In this paper, we use electromagnetic potentials which are scalar potentials and vector potentials. Since scalar potentials are scalar quantities, we can intuitively link them to the circuit voltage. In particular, from the viewpoint of electromagnetic noise, the difference component (normal mode) and the sum component (common mode) of the potentials are used. This leads to a further understanding of the noise generation mechanism. Therefore, this paper describes a method for numerical calculation of electromagnetic potentials.
