Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The interplay between the urban transportation environment and people's mobility is a complex phenomenon, and solving the problem of making intra-urban mobility more efficient and optimal is not easy. The authors study the application of Multi-Agent Simulation (MAS) to assist in the study of remedial measures for mobility difficulties that occur within a city. In this paper, the authors realize a MAS that can simulate the situation in which multiple urban transportation measures are applied, enabling the analysis of vehicle behavior and the evaluation of the impact on traffic flow when a complex transportation measure that combines arbitrary multiple measures is implemented. Specifically, we target the area around JR Minami-Kusatsu Station, and show that it is possible to study how to improve the traffic around the station, which is congested daily, based on MAS.
