Abstract(in English) | The study of autonomous driving attracts attention because it is expected to reduce traffic accidents and congestion. The level of autonomous driving is divided by the driving condition and system involvement level. Remote monitoring is required for level three or higher that the system drives the vehicle independently. Remote monitoring video is delivered to the monitoring center over a wireless network. Then, the video quality is degraded due to the fluctuation of network quality, and the risk increases by overlooking dangerous objects. Therefore, the video bitrate control method for detecting a dangerous object in response to a change in the network quality is required. This study proposed a video bitrate control method for reducing risk by overlooking dangerous objects. Concretely, the method can achieve the quality in which the observer can detect a dangerous object at least once in a period. We evaluated our method using artificial throughput data and confirmed that, compared with existing methods, we could improve the number of times an object exceeds detectable quality. |
