Abstract(in English) | To limit the spread of misinformation, the dissemination of messages countering the misinformation has been shown to be an effective approach. While most existing studies on misinformation limitation have assumed a single-layer structurefor social networks, each individual in society usually has multiple communication channels, and the social network has a multi-layer structure. Thus, we investigate the problem of how to limit the spread of misinformation in multilayer networks by spreading counter messages against misinformation. Through simulation experiments, we evaluate the effectiveness of the methods to select the seed nodes that trigger the spread of the positive influence. The results show that even in two-layered multiplex networks, the seed-node selection methods that only use a single-layer structure achieve comparable effectiveness with the seed-node selection method that uses both layers of the two-layered network. |
