Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the increase in the number of wireless communication devices, there is concern about the shortage of frequency resources used for wireless communications, including Wi-Fi. Dynamic spectrum sharing technology exists as a countermeasure to the shortage of frequency resources. Dynamic spectrum sharing is a technology that assignment temporally and spatially unused frequencies in frequency bands where primary users already exist to secondary users such as Wi-Fi without causing interference. In this study, we use linear programming and its solvers to make frequency assignment more efficient and faster. Linear programming is an algorithm for mathematical optimization that maximizes or minimizes an objective value. We simulated dynamic spectrum sharing using this linear programming method and compared the processing time and throughput with the basic algorithm, the exhaustive search. We confirmed that linear programming is faster than using the exhaustive search.
