| Abstract(in English) | Among the developments in terahertz wave (or sub-terahertz wave) technology over the past decade, the most notable development is the evolution of semiconductor electronic devices and integrated circuit technology. Then, what kind of role will photonics technology, which has supported system applications of terahertz waves for more than 30 years, play in the future? In this paper, we will summarize the advantages and disadvantages of using optical technology in terahertz system applications, and discuss future issues and prospects. |
