Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this presentation, we report on the implementation of a receiver that can track carrier frequency drift in a frequency modulated (FM) transmitter-receiver system for measurement of small animal behavior. For small animals weighing 10 g or less, the transmitter weight of less than 1 g is required, and only a 1.5 V button cell battery can be used as a power source. In such cases, stable frequency sources such as crystal oscillators and phase-locked loops (PLLs) cannot be implemented, and the oscillation frequency fluctuates significantly as the battery is depleted. We present a software-defined radio implementation of an FM receiver that tracks carrier frequency fluctuations for such applications.
