Abstract(in English) In Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) communications, a symbol interval is divided into chip intervals, and a pseudo-random noise signal that takes a value of $+1$ or $-1$, independent of the transmitted symbols, is multiplied over the chip interval. The frequency bandwidth of the signal is expanded, making it robust to narrow-band interference. The wide bandwidth also allows distance measurement by code synchronization of the spread spectrum signal. The author studies simultaneous estimation of propagation time delay and Doppler frequency using two-dimensional spread spectrum signal, which multiplies pseudo-random noise signal in both the time and frequency domains. In this paper, we show some existing estimation methods and then describe an estimation method that was proposed previously by Kohda and the author, called Phase Updating Loop (PUL).
