Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we used spectral distance and classical multidimensional scaling (CMDS) to extract the state change of temporal networks, using actual contact data measured in elementary and high schools in France. First, temporal networks are created by dividing the contact data into fixed time windows. Next, the distance between networks in each time window was calculated using the spectral distance, and a distance matrix was created. Finally, the attractors were reconstructed using time-delayed coordinates for the one-dimensional time series obtained by applying CMDS to the created distance matrix. Numerical experiments show that by setting the appropriate size of the time window, trajectories in reconstructed stated space exhibit recurrence structures, which means that the time series obtained from CMDS can capture changes in the state of the temporal network. We also found that when the width of the time windows is small, the network of each time window does not reflect the global dynamics of the contacts, and therefore, an appropriate size of time window must be selected.
