Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Dense deployment of automotive CS (Chirp Sequence) radars will cause serious inter-radar interference which results in miss-detection of the target in near future. Furthermore, increase of the number of interference radars can cause inter-radar interference suppression failure and/or significant SNR degradation. To solve this problem, the authors have proposed an adaptive wideband interference suppression scheme that controls the interference detection threshold using envelope detection and sorting of the input signals. However, zero suppression for wideband interference signals can spread the spectrum of the target and degrade SNR. To improve the interference suppression performance and SNR after interference suppression, this report proposes an SNR improvement technique which controls interference suppression co-efficient according to the desired signal-to-interference signal power ratio (SIR) obtained from the envelope detection results and confirms the performance improvement by computer simulations.
