Abstract(in English) | In addition to contemporary radio technologies, space agencies plan to adopt optical technologies to realize faster data transmission to transmit a large volume of data from space to ground. Highly accurate acquisition and tracking technique and highly sensitive receiving technique are required in optical space propagations, because of extremely high directivity and atmospheric effect. Therefore, we aim for realization of optical operations between space and ground by optical ground stations with highly accurate acquisition and tracking technique to acquire a target in a center of field of view of tracking sensors and automatically guide it and maintain the tracking and highly sensitive receiving technique, even when we use TLE (Two-Line Element) orbital information with rough prediction accuracy. This paper describes construction of our optical ground station, fundamental acquisition and tracking experiment using sunlight reflection from space debris, etc., overview of optical communication experiment with an optical communication terminal on a satellite. |
