Abstract(in English) | The recent demand of the ICT information capacity is increasing rapidly with unexpected rate, and it becomes extremely urgent issue for the 400Gbps or more high speed transmission optical transceivers /components to put them in practical use. For these transceivers /components, not only high-speed performance, but also smaller form factor and lower power consumption is required, and therefore the application of the optical integration technology and the fine CMOS process are seriously examined. Under these critical situations, international forum standardization bodies such as IEEE 802.3/OIF started the standardization of the super high-speed optical transceiver of 800 G or more in 2021. The paper will focus on the latest topics of these standardization organizations and will also discuss issues for the practical application of 800G/1.6T. |
