Abstract(in English) | In-vehicle systems adopt Controller Area Network (CAN) which is the standard communication protocol. Many kinds of data for driving are exchanged among electronic control units (ECUs) via CAN. Some malicious attacks against In-vehicle systems are reported due to CAN does not have security function. Therefore, a secure in-vehicle system which was based on the block cipher Midori and the authentication cipher OTR was proposed. The secure in-vehicle system prevented from Spoofing attack and Replay attack. Denial-of-Service attack (DoS attack) is known as heinous than Spoofing attack and Replay attack. Countermeasure against DoS attack was also reported. This study combines the previous secure in-vehicle system with the Countermeasure against DoS attack in order to overcome many kinds of malicious attacks. Experiments using a mockup show the hybrids countermeasure can prevent from not only Spoofing attack and Replay attack but also DoS attack. |
