Abstract(in English) | In small cell networks, random deployment of small cell base stations (BSs) can cause overlapping coverage areas, which increases inter-cell interference and thus degrades the system capacity. In some conventional inter-cell interference management (IIM) schemes, receivers perform interference cancellation (IC) while transmitters conduct transmit power control based on neural networks (NNs) for inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC). For further improvement, this report applies a new structure of NN using iterative shrinkage-thresholding algorithm (ISTA) and fast ISTA (FISTA), which can improve the accuracy of sparse NN weight estimation, and thus can increase the system capacity. Computer simulations of a 3-BS network model compare the system capacity of several schemes including the conventional NN, NN using ISTA, or FISTA, and the greedy search. It is demonstrated that NN using FISTA is superior to the conventional NN in terms of the system capacity. |
