Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Optical fiber sensors are being implemented in society both in Japan and overseas because of their features, such as their ability to measure distribution and multiple points, compact size and light weight, immunity to electromagnetic noise, and explosion-proof property. With the spread of optical fiber sensors, IEC and other organizations are actively working on the establishment of standards. In this paper, the trend of standardization of optical fiber sensors will be explained and their deployment status in Japan will be introduced.
