| Abstract(in English) | Small diameter fibers with a 80-?m cladding and 160-?m coating were proposed for further densification of optical cables. Optical characteristics of fabricated fibers showed the similar characteristics with the existing fibers. And fabricated high-density cables with 160-?m coating fibers realized higher core density compared to that with the conventional coating fibers. The MPO connectors and fusion splicer for 12- fiber ribbons with the developed fibers showed the same connection loss with that for conventional fibers. |
