| Abstract(in English) | This presentation focuses on covert repetition in pair work where the partner changes again and again, in rotation, producing affordance to change “self” in each learner in EFL contexts. Covert repetition is invisible and hard to recognize as repetition compared with overt repetition. However, covert repetition enables the learners to connect their repetitive actions to its changing environment or situations in contrast with overt repetition, which is apart from the environment or situations. This covert repetition can be considered repetition with modifying microslips. Three hypotheses are set up and verified based on the free description of the students. |
