Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Hokkaido, medical institutions are scattered over a vast area, and telemedicine has become widespread in order to eliminate regional disparities in medical care. We will introduce cases where the three university hospitals in Hokkaido have been working on medical support in Hokkaido while making the best use of their respective characteristics. We also mentions the issues that were seen in the cases. With the increase in generated images due to the spread of high-performance diagnostic imaging equipments in recent years, the diagnostic work cannot keep up with radiologists alone. In order to solve this situation, it is necessary to use the help of artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud computing technology is indispensable for the widespread use of AI diagnostic support. High-quality communication lines are essential to support this technology.
