| Abstract(in English) | Japan has the 6th largest exclusive economic zone in the world and is one of the countries with the potential to become a maritime economic power. However, the development in the sea has not progressed. Although the sound waves are mainly used for underwater sensing and communication in the sea, dielectrics cannot be detected by sound wave sensing, and the communication speed is low. Therefore, detailed sensing and high-speed communication are required. The authors are conducting research and development with the aim of establishing wireless technologies in the sea, which is the last frontier of radio wave utilization. We explain the research of the underwater wireless technology as the radio wave propagation and communication, and the under-seabed sensing. |
