Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Fruit cultivation requires hand and long working compared with vegetable cultivation because careful cares greatly affect the quality of the fruit. Especially, among fruit trees, pears are labor-intensive because of the need for artificial pollination, and there is a need to reduce the amount of labor required to grow pears. The aim of our study is to develop a pollination system using drones to spray pollen onto pear flowers. In this paper, we investigate the optimal pollination path estimation for an autonomous drone that sprays pollen to pollinate pear flowers by taking photographs of the entire pear field and detecting pear trees by semantic segmentation using deep learning. Through experiments using images of an entire pear field, we show that the pear tree can be detected.
