Abstract(in English) | Contrast-enhanced ultrasound is a technique for selectively acquiring vascular images by visualizing only non-linear echoes generated from microbubbles flowing in the blood. In this study, pulse compression using a binary pseudo-random sequence is applied for improving the SNR of contrast-enhanced ultrasound images. Typically, when binary-coded pulse compression is applied to non-linear signals such as the echoes from microbubbles, the decrease in echo amplitude and sidelobes occur. Therefore, unipolar-coded pulse compression in which the binary code is constituted by one type of the ultrasonic pulse is introduced in this research. In this report, a method to further improve the SNR of contrast-enhanced ultrasound images by changing the reference signal in unipolar-coded pulse compression. |
