Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study is to estimate the number of people by infrared array sensor. Data obtained from this sensor do not include privacy information. Therefore, the sensor can be installed where it is difficult to install a camera. Additionally, low energy estimation is suitable outdoors where we cannot supply energy. Estimation by complicated model learned deep learning often needs CPU, GPU, and these use much energy. This study aims to estimate the number of people with a low-energy single-board computer. And asses the accuracy score and estimation time. Consequently, the accuracy score is over 80 %, and the error is ±2. The estimation time is about 0.7 seconds. Most of the estimation time is spent converting sensor data to a grayscale image. Furthermore, we estimated the number of people with the same sensor in Arduino, which is a more power-saving microcontroller. In Arduino, the number of people was estimated by the 4-neighborhood labeling process of the binary image. The Estimation time is about 130 ms to 2000 ms.
