Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Today, digital security devices are used in a variety of locations. However, some digital authentication devices have critical weaknesses.Security vulnerabilities can cause serious damage and are not a problem that can be ignored. Many of today's powerful security systems involve cumbersome operations and their use compromises some functions. This can create new weaknesses that could have been avoided. We considered security and convenience as system requirements for authentication devices. We focused on vein authentication, which achieves both at a high level. In this research, we developed a "3D vein authentication system" that increases the amount of information required for authentication from multiple angles and improves the security and convenience of vein authentication devices. This research aims to develop stronger and more convenient biometric authentication devices that can withstand use in the next generation.Using a mirror to obtain 3D information, we propose an image containing 3D finger vein information that can currently be used for authentication.
