Consideration on virtual road networks for efficient communication between drones

Abstract(in English) Epidemic communication is a method of information delivery between mobile nodes by direct wireless communication and movement, and is used in DTN. Here, we consider flying mobile nodes such as drones. Flying mobile nodes can basically move freely in three-dimensional space; however, these nodes cannot fly over the areas of human activity on the ground and important facilities. Namely, there actually exists a kind of virtual road network in the air, and the mobile nodes are considered to move along the network. By expanding this concept of the virtual road network, virtual road networks suitable to epidemic communication have been considered. In this report, we consider to construct the virtual road network in the air with tree structure, compare some structures and evaluate performance of these structures by computer simulation.
