Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Japan has become one of the world's top longevity societies and the population is aging. Under such circumstances, the demand for indoor position estimation systems for watching over the elderly is increasing. Therefore, we have been studying a system that estimates the position of the elderly from the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of the radio waves emitted by the mobile beacon worn by the elderly. The wireless standard EnOcean is used as the beacon signal, and the RSSI is collected at multiple points indoors at the same time. The position of the elderly is estimated by machine learning the relationship between the RSSI data and the signal transmission position. In this presentation, we consider the method of improving the efficiency of RSSI data acquisition and the points to keep in mind related to the accuracy of machine learning.
