Acceleration of data assimilation for Large-scale human flow data

Abstract(in English) Data assimilation has been attracting attention as the importance of understanding human flow has been emphasized in the wake of accidents at events. Data assimilation compares simulation results with observed data and adjusts parameters in the simulation. However, pedestrian simulation has a problem that the simulation takes a long time when the number of agents increases. In order to reduce the simulation time, we implemented the simulation in C and used Numpy, a matrix computation library, to speed up the simulation and improve the model. In this paper, we use the Mojiko Fireworks Festival data set to speed up the data assimilation process. In the evaluation, we compared the execution time and assimilation accuracy with simulators in previous studies.
