Outdoor Experiments of Long-distance High-Speed Imaging MIMO Systems

Abstract(in English) In outdoor optical wireless communication, the Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) technique has been widely used to ensure high speed transmission. In this work, we extend the use of our proposed imaging MIMO system that has shown to circumvent the inter-signal interference thanks to the use of an optical imaging device capable of focusing and separating each received optical signal. Our proposed imaging MIMO system has only been tested in an indoor environment so far. In this work, we report on the first experimental evaluation of our imaging MIMO system in an outdoor environment. The obtained results show that the optical signals can be efficiently separated even over long distances. Furthermore, we achieved an error-free transmission at a data rate of 200 Mbps over a distance of 100 m.
