Evaluation of Object Detection AI in Pseudo-Analog Communications

Abstract(in English) Roadside video broadcasting is a key technology for cooperative automatic driving. The traditional broadcasting method treats video data as digital and transmits the digital date with modulation and coding schemes. It may occur equally poor quality video transmission due to the existence of vehicles with poor wireless quality. To cope with the issue, we apply pseudo-analog communications to roadside video broadcasting, in which video quality depends on the wireless quality of vehicles. In other words, it provides higher frequency utilization efficiency than digital communications. In the paper, we evaluate the accuracy of object detection AI using pseudo-analog communications in multi-path fading environments and show future works.
