| Abstract(in English) | On May 3, 2022, the European Commission published the details of the establishment of the European Health Data Space (EHDS). EHDS is the first data space in Europe, and similar data spaces are expected to be proposed in the future. The EHDS is said to be based on the already fully applied General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the European Commission's proposed Data Governance Act and Data Act, and the Network and Information Systems Directive. This means that the EHDS is not confined to a single policy area. In other words, in data utilization such as the data space, consideration across multiple policy areas is necessary. In this paper, we consider the Commission's Digital Strategy as a comprehensive package of these institutions and examine how data protection legislation appears in the overall picture. |
