[Short Paper] A waveguide power transfer for a toy-drone by using a solenoidal wavelength-shortened sheet

Abstract(in English) This paper shows a waveguide power transfer for a toy-drone by using a solenoidal wavelength-shortened sheet. The power is supplied without wiring when the toy-drone, which is loaded with a receiver, lands on a waveguide sheet. Previously pro-posed receiver had limited applications because it was as large as 1m in size. To reduce the size of the receiver, the wave-length in the waveguide should be shorten. In this paper, a solenoidal structure, which is more wavelength shortening than a previous structure, is used in the waveguide sheet. The receiver becomes small enough to be loaded to the toy-drone. The wavelength in the waveguide has been shortened to about 1/100th of the vacuum wavelength. The receiver of about 10 cm in length are available with the solenoidal wavelength-shortened sheet.
