Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the spread of wireless communication devices such as smartphones among children, the opportunities for children to be exposed to radio waves are increasing. In Japan, however, no consistent conclusions have been reached on the health effects of radio wave exposure on children, particularly on their higher nervous system functions. Against this background, there is a need to accumulate epidemiological research data on the effects of radio wave exposure on the development of higher nervous functions in children. In this paper, we evaluate the effects of human body shielding on the reception characteristics of electromagnetic field measurement devices in the 4G frequency band when they are placed in close proximity to the subject's body, using a pediatric human model.
