Abstract(in English) | In the information society, data access performance has become an issue as storage systems grew in size. In this research, we investigate the high performance and efficiency of a large-capacity storage system by combining large-capacity rotational storage devices (HDD) and flash devices with a shorter latency. The open-source distributed storage software Ceph used in this study is an object storage system with flexible access methods, excellent scalability, and high reliability, and is expected to be used as a storage infrastructure. In our experiments, we constructed a file system using Ceph and measured benchmarks and data access performance using a brain neuronal structure visualization tool. As a result of the experiment, we confirmed the difference in performance due to the difference in data placement devices, DB/WAL placement devices, and the number of replications. |
