Abstract(in English) | HAPS (High-Altitude Platform Station) attracts attention as a new communication platform that provides wide-area communication services directly to smartphones on the ground from the stratosphere. We proposed a co-evolutionary dynamic cell optimization algorithm for non-uniform user distributions. The coverage area is divided into multiple sub-areas to reduce the number of parameters to optimize at a time. Furthermore, reducing the search range of each parameter is also effective in reducing the search space. In this paper, we propose a two-step cell optimization algorithm based on a co-evolutionary dynamic cell optimization algorithm that comprises a search space reduction step and an optimization step. The search space is reduced based on a marginal histogram obtained by a large step size optimization. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm increases the average improvement of the objective function value defined as a sum of the root square of the throughput while reducing the average number of combinations for a nine-cell configuration. |
