Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Outdoor radio wave exposure levels from mobile phone base stations and other sources in metropolitan and suburban areas were measured. As in 2019, a 1 km ? 1 km area was divided into 10 ? 10 grids, and the E-field strength was measured at one point within each grid. Furthermore, the 5G band (FR1), which had not yet started service in the 2019 measurements, was also included in the measurement. The relationship between the measurement height and the E-field was investigated. It was found that the field strength increases with height in all of frequency bands, but tends to be weaker in suburban areas than in metropolitan areas as one gets closer to the ground. As a result, the median E-field strength in the metropolitan area was more than 10 dB higher than the previous results in 2019. The results for the suburban areas were similar to the previous measurements in 2019. It is found that E-field strength in the 5G band was observed in metropolitan area, but was below the noise level of the measurement system in suburban area The E-field strength of 5G mobile system in median value was about 20 dB lower than that of non-5G mobile systems. |
