Abstract(in English) | In this report, we describe analog-radio over fiber (A-RoF) and distributed multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques in higher frequency bands for sixth generation (6G) mobile communication system / innovative optical and wireless network (IOWN). NTT proposed IOWN concept in May 2019 to construct the future optical and wireless networks for the 2030s.In addition, IOWN will provide innovative optical techniques, high transmission capacity and huge computer resources compared with conventional networks (NWs). On the other hand, wireless area recently announced the 6G mobile communication system concepts across the world. 6G also focus on the extreme high data rate / capacity, low latency and low energy. Thus, we consider that the IOWN concept and 6G system have the same targets for future NWs. Therefore, we have studied a combined approach employing optical and wireless techniques. This report introduces our approaches of A-RoF and distributed MIMO techniques in higher frequency bands. |
