Abstract(in English) | This paper introduces non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) techniques for the infrastructure-less cellular-vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) that depends on no central coordinators, such as base stations. In NOMA, each receiver uses the successive interference cancellation (SIC) to decode superposed signals in the power domain. Each SIC iteration requires an enough high signal-to-interference-and-noise ratio (SINR) for the receiver to decode the signal. However, the infrastructure-less C-V2X, i.e., a decentralized and broadcast network, may provide a lower SINR in each iteration than the centralized unicast networks, and the NOMA benefits in the infrastructure-less C-V2X have remained unclear. To this end, this paper presents the author’s proposed NOMA methods for the infrastructure-less C-V2X. Our results highlighted that NOMA advanced the infrastructure-less C-V2X and boosted packet reception ratios over the existing infrastructure-less C-V2X without NOMA. |
