A UAV Placement Method for Wave Source Localization Using Single UAV

Abstract(in English) We have studied a wave source localization method in NLOS (Non-Line-Of-Sight) environments using single UAV. In our previous study, a wave source is localized based on DoAs (Direction-of-Arrivals) distributions estimated at multiple receiving points on the moving path of the UAV. In this article, in order to reduce the moving distance of the UAV, we propose a new placement method of receiving points. In the proposed method, a tentative position of the wave source is estimated at each receiving point, and the next receiving point is determined so that the distances between previous receiving points and the tentative position are equidistant. We validate the proposed method through simulation experiments.
