Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Low-power wide-area (LPWA) communications using the 920 MHz band are widely used as a tool that can be easily installed and used for long-distance communications. Mobile LPWA communications are subject to the effects of fading, which fluctuates with movement, because many LPWA communications have 10 milliseconds or longer radio frame lengths. We hypothesized that there is a relationship between airtime and communication success rate, which may affect throughput in LPWA communications. This paper discusses the relationship between fading and airtime in a mobile environment for 920 MHz band LPWA through experiments using a radio propagation simulator and LoRa devices. Based on the experimental results, the conditions under which throughput can be maximized in LPWA communications by optimizing airtime for the speed of movement are discussed. This paper discusses the possibility of a method for automatically adjusting the optimal communication parameters for the application of LPWA communication in a mobile environment according to the moving speed of the terminal station and the application requirements.
