Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) E-commerce sites have a system to evaluate the reputation of products by the number of stars and reviews. When purchasing a product, users use this information to consider whether the transaction is trustworthy. However, it is known that reviews and star counts can be manipulated intentionally, so there is a risk in relying on these ratings. Moreover, it is thought that users who refer to reputation also differ in which information they tend to trust. In this paper, we classified the tendency of individual ratings (distribution of stars) into five patterns, and conducted a survey on the relationship between one's own rating pattern and the pattern of ratings one trusts. Based on the results, we propose a review selection requirement for referring to reviews with higher reliability for products with many ratings.
