Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Under the COVID-19 pandemic, it is time to consider how a new form of interactive communication between faculties and students should be in practicing large-group teaching with a high risk of mass infection. In this context, the purpose of this study is to discuss interactive communication between both the parties through the practice of “Hy-Limited Classes”, new hybrid classes between face-to-face and online ones, after developing them based on ADDIE model of instructional design. As the method, a class evaluation questionnaire about Hy-Limited Classes was conducted in a large class (193 students) offered at University A using Microsoft Forms. The results showed that students taking a large-group class under the COVID-19 pandemic tended to prefer online communication via chat superior in terms of synchronization. In addition, regarding the securement of communication between faculties and students, no significant difference was found between face-to-face and online classes and it was suggested that their effectiveness increased in stages.
