Abstract(in English) Railway operators need to introduce DX applications that improve operational efficiency and need to reduce train operation costs for their sustainable businesses. Utilizing public mobile networks as ground-to-train communication systems enable them to reduce the costs and to introduce new railway applications rapidly. However, when we apply the public mobile networks only, it is hard for them to achieve railway application’s communication requirements for safe and stable train operations since they provide best-effort communication services. In this paper, we propose a reliable communication platform using public mobile networks for railway applications. Through the experiments in the RTRI's railway test track, we confirmed that high-reliable communication function of the platform improves the reliability of railway applications' ground-to-train communication.
