[Invited Lecture] Optimization of Intelligent Reflecting Surface (IRS) Control by Quantum Computing

Abstract(in English) As a technology to greatly improve the energy utilization efficiency in the 6th generation mobile communication system (6G), research on IRS (Intelligent Reflecting Surface), which enables the control of propagation characteristics, has been actively pursued. In recent years, quantum computing has been attracting attention for its ability to achieve extremely fast computations with low power consumption in certain fields. Both 6G and general-purpose quantum computers are expected to be commercialized around 2030, and there is a great possibility that quantum computers will be used in 6G. In this talk, we will introduce our research on how to achieve optimal control by quantum computing for wireless communication systems using IRS.
