Design Proposal for a Telecommunication System Based on Dialogue Structure Applying Graph Theory

Abstract(in English) The Theory of Participation Framework (Goffman 1981) described that people can participate in multiple dialogues at the same time. However, the theory has not been organized in a way that allows for technological applications. In this study ,we propose a quantitative design guideline for remote communication system based on the Participation Framework. We have defined the symbols needed to design the system and represented the dialogue structure with graph. We implemented a remote communication system based on the design, and observed appearances of multiple participation online. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the design guidelines for an innovative remote communication systems, such as a lesson tool that encourages active interaction between learners.
