Structured Annotations and Analysis of ACL Papers

Abstract(in English) In recent years, the number of scientific and technical papers published has been increasing at an accelerated rate, making it increasingly difficult to manually read and understand a wide range of literature. However, most of the papers are distributed in PDF format, and it is not easy to access the necessary information. In this study, we defined the elements of logical structures in the PDF data of the papers presented at ACL, a major international conference in the field of natural language processing, and annotated 100 papers with the specifications. We also implemented a method for predicting the logical structure using neural networks and evaluated the performance.
