Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is not easy for local governments, which do not have famous tourist resources, to make people understand the attractiveness of the region and to encourage them to visit on vacation. Even residents are often unaware of the attractiveness of their own region. Borrowing the idea of gamification, this paper aims to develop a system to motivate local residents to understand their region. Therefore, we have previously proposed a platform that can easily create quiz rallies to motivate people to understand the local community, with the aim of realizing a mechanism to motivate people to understand the local community. In this paper, we examine whether a quiz rally application can really contribute to motivating citizens to understand their community. For this purpose, we conducted an experiment from December 31, 2021 to January 31, 2022 using "Moi! SANTA QUEST" developed by our platform for citizens of Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture. One hundred and fifty citizens participated in the experiment, and 263 lines of data were collected when they visited the spots set by the quiz rally. The number of lines of data obtained by visiting the spots set by the quiz rally was 263, and the number of lines of data obtained by performing the quiz (task) set for each spot was 247. Based on the log data, we analyzed the behavior of citizens and investigated the change in their awareness of the community using questionnaires, and evaluated the effectiveness of the application. We will also conduct a questionnaire survey of local government employees to evaluate the quality of the platform itself based on the SQueAR quality evaluation.
