Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) IEA-ICCS 2016 is an international comparative study consisting of the cognitive test and the student questionnaire survey to obtain data on civic knowledge, attitudes, and actions of 8th grade students around the world. Using the IEA-ICCS 2016 public data, the authors report the results of a re-analysis of the relationship between the test results and students' perceptions and attitudes toward ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in particular. which has received much attention due to changes in educational methods. Furthermore, based on the idea that sovereign education, as well as democracy, is a central concept of citizenship education, the possibility of special activities and integrated learning to cultivate citizenship education will be discussed, touching on the practice of teaching courses.
